Notices to our residents
Is it allowed to park a vehicle across a sidewalk if it's parked in a driveway?
Have you ever taken a stroll around Hunter Pointe and felt annoyed at the inconvenience when you encountered vehicles in driveways parked across the sidewalks or trash bags or garbage bins blocking the way? It's a common problem in Hunter Pointe that's driving us all crazy, and it's a recurring one.
Not only is parking over a sidewalk prohibited by the Texas transportation code, it is also prohibited by the City of Arlington’s Ordinances Governing STREETS AND SIDEWALKS under ARTICLE VI - OBSTRUCTING STREETS AND SIDEWALKS Section 6.01: No person shall willfully obstruct or injure, or cause to be obstructed or injured in any manner whatsoever, any public sidewalk, median, curb, shoulder, improved shoulder, street, highway, roadway or public right-of-way in the City. Therefore, let's avoid blocking any section of the sidewalk while parking in our driveways. This way, we can prevent pedestrians, especially our children, from having to walk onto the road and maneuver around parked cars to get past your property. Remember, by following the Texas law, you'll not only abide by the rules, but you’ll also show consideration and respect to your neighbors. |
A Friendly Reminder for Responsible Pet Ownership in Our Neighborhood
Please ensure that your dogs are always on a leash and under your supervision while outdoors. This helps maintain safety not only for your pets but also for other residents and their furry friends.
In addition, we kindly request that all pet owners diligently clean up after their dogs when nature calls. By doing so, you demonstrate respect for our neighbors and preserve the cleanliness of our community. The HOA encourages residents to call Arlington's animal services to report any unleashed or dangerous dogs/animals. |
